Weee're Back!

Hello friends and sarcastic jerks (Steve!),

As most of you know, Jen, Desmond and I made it to Wichita, and so far so good. It took until yesterday before COX cable could connect us so that we could get Internet. Three weeks seems like an inordinate amount of time to have to wait before some sweaty fat guy comes into your house and twists some coaxial together...Anyway, this site should be updated regularly from here on out.

Before we could move we first had to sell our house in Lincoln. We all were very comfortable in our house on South 44th street, and very sad to have to give it up. But we were happy (and fortunate) to have sold it four days after it was listed.

I graduated on Saturday, May 5. I didn't go to the ceremony, but Jen made me a cake and snapped a few photos to remember the day. You can see from the photo below that the day was somewhat informal, and Jen's graduation hat (whatever they're called) didn't really fit my pumpkin head.

You may also have noticed that I look tired...that's because I was still working "Weekend Graveyard" shifts at Duncan. In fact, my last day at Duncan was the following day (Sunday the 6th). It was sad to leave Duncan...or should I say it was hard to leave behind the good friends that I had there. Yes, I do have some friends, and I hope the best for them all.

The time line may be somewhat non-linear, but Taylor, Jennifer's brother also graduated from high school recently. After our first week in Wichita, we made a trip back to Nebraska to, among other things, celebrate with Taylor. Congratulations Taylor, we, uh, never had any, uh, doubt that you would make it through your senior year. Also, good luck on your new job.

So, we're in Wichita...all is good, and we now have Internet access. Stay tuned for more about our move here as well as everything else Kansas.

We invite comments so that we can stay in touch with everyone...Type us a note even if it doesn't have anything to do with the blog topic. We look forward to hearing from everyone.
