The Post Below

Below this entry I posted a video of Desmond putting a puzzle together. It is maybe not too interesting to anyone, but I was pretty impressed when he started doing puzzles all by himself. He has a few that we do on occasion, and it makes him very happy to finish them. Anyway, maybe kids are supposed to be able to do this sort of thing when they're two, and D's behind the curve. I was impressed and proud of him so I thought I'd pass it on.

I didn't know if anyone would be interested in watching the video, but I'm glad you liked it. All of these posts are saved "forever", so sometimes I include photos and info as if I were making a journal for us to read after everyone has grown up...the fact that everyone else likes it is great.

I like how he works the puzzle from the bottom to the top. It's interesting. Also, I remember smoothing out puzzles like he is doing in the video.

For this puzzle, I think Desmond starts with McQueen and then Mater who both happen to be at the bottom. There are other puzzles that we do and he will start at the same place each time...usually the same animal or character. He's got a system I guess.

Thanks for the comment Melissa...your first on this blog, right? It makes us happy to know that you're a reader.

Of course I'm a reader! It might be my first comment though. I suppose Mitch usually does the typing, and it seems redundant for me to comment if he has already. Anyway. Although we never commented before, that little Emma sure is a good walker!

Yeah, I guess I knew you were a reader. I just was trying to be subtle in saying that it's about time that we hear from the red writing.

And thanks...we're pretty proud of Emma. She gets around almost too good sometimes. She's a pretty good dancer too.
