Emma loves her big purple necklace. She also loves to play with the whoopee cushion.
Desmond has liked having Scout and Dawn around lately.
The Land Cruiser resurrection has begun.
Other news includes Aunt Dawn getting a job in Wichita. Congratulations Dawn. Grandma Mary is to follow with her relocation here. The toy room remodel is coming to a close...only the trim and the install of a couple doors left to be done. Pop's additional three weeks of furlough start next week...more summer vacation with the kiddos. Aunt Heather's wedding is just over a week away.
We're planning to make it to the track this weekend. Once a week has been the target, but it can be hard. Sometimes when we go out D would rather dig in the dirt with the sand toys (with Emma) than ride his dirt bike. Pops has decided not to force the issue anymore, so the last time out I rode until I was tired and started packing up, never having even unloaded D's bike or his gear. It was then that D started putting on his riding boots and I asked, "are you going to ride". He said "yeah," and we unloaded his bike. He rode the flat track with another little kid who was on a quad. They had a good time riding together. On occasion they would stop and talk, but never where I was close enough to hear them. I can only imagine what they were talking about. Then, in their own time, the would take off again and ride some more...its good to have a buddy to ride with.
