Labor Day Weekend

Sometimes it's nice to plan to do nothing. Spend time at home with the family and take each day as it comes, with no real obligations or expectations. That's really all that we did this weekend. We hung around at home. If we felt like doing something, we did...if not, we didn't. You get the picture. Anyway, the result is a pretty darn relaxing weekend.

There was a little bit of labor on this day when there wasn't supposed to be any. Diamond D helped Pops transplant a bush from the backyard to the front.

Emma helped too, but how much work are you really committing to when you show up wearing a tutu and only one shoe.

After we killed the bush (Pops doesn't exactly have a green thumb...chances of survival: slim) we had a rest. Once rested we went to the pool to take advantage of its final day of the season. There were free popsicles.

Really, the popsicles were not for the sake of celebration, but rather they were cleaning out the concession stand and gave away some of the things they didn't feel like saving for next year. In fact as closing time neared they were putting things away and dismantling others as they were winterizing the facility. It was kinda sad to think of the summer ending...we had a pretty good one though.

That's about it. I should have taken more pictures...
