Everyday Craziness

Those who have visited will attest to the fact that there is an abundance of craziness at our house. As I was looking through the last batch of photographs, trying to come up with some sort of theme to write to, it just seemed like they just documented the everyday craziness that is our family's baseline atmosphere.

There was some backyard "adventure" craziness.

Please pardon the backdrop for these photos...the backyard has not received the attention that we had planned this past summer. The basement project ran long, and now it's starting to become unpleasant to be outside.

Jennifer decorated the front door with terrifying Halloween images.

Emma and Pops are both scared of the skeleton, and Desmond likes to draw our attention to it each time we go in or out the door. He laughs and laughs when Pops gets startled by the scary big head-ed-ness of it. Stinker.

In this picture it looks like Emma is practicing for some kind of wintertime parade.

Here Desmond is watching television while wearing his Halloween costume. Yes he has a mohawk. And yes his costume is too small for him. It was his costume from last year, but he insists on wearing it again.

The kiddos both got new clothes for the fall/winter. Here Emma is showing off a pair of her more fashionable new jeans. There's a belt too.

We've been over to Aunt Dawn's and Nanna's new house a time or two. D and E are maybe even a little bit more crazy over there while we visit. More crazy? Yes, they are constantly raising the crazy bar.

Dawn shown here trying to harness some of D's energy by convincing him that doing dishes is fun.

Emma just wants to dance...and sing. She can belt out a pretty good version of "Fe Fi Fiddey I Oh". And she's about 45% with the alphabet with a considerable emphasis on the celebration at the end.

How's that for safety goggles and drooling craziness?

Diamond D got to go to a professional basketball exhibition game with Mom and Pop. The New Orleans Hornets were severely beaten by the Orlando Magic.

He liked the mascot almost as much as he liked the cheerleaders...the "Honeybees".

Spinning a ball on your finger is easy. Easy, that is, if a Harlem Globetrotter helps you. We had good time. It was the first professional basketball game for any of us. We made it to the end of the third quarter before D decided that it was time to go home.

Emma played some b-ball too...at the swimming pool.

And Desmond has started to get pretty brave. Jumping off into the deep part with nothing but a donut floatie between him and oblivion. That's craziness.

What...funny photos? This is a serious blog, documenting the struggle of the revolution. There's nothing funny about that!

And your wait will soon be over. Congrats J-loyce.
