This post may end up being more of a photo dump than anything. A month between posts is too long. I'll try to be better.
Well, the last post left off with the Airbus announcement. The transition went smoothly, and now Pops is working the A330. The airplane line is about a decade old, but they keep making new variants and everything has to be rechecked to make sure it's not going to fall out of the sky. I worked three days before coming down with H1N1, and according to policy had to take five days off. But, yeah, it's good.
A few weeks ago Justin, Heather and Kayden came for a visit and we went to the zoo. It was a perfect day for it, weather-wise, but unfortunately the snow cone machine was shut down for the winter. It was still good fun.
Feeding the goats. No lost digits.
Posing.
Pouting.
The next weekend Auntie Dawn took us out to Chucky Cheese for pizza and games. Thanks again Dawn. It worked out well; we got there early for lunch before the mob hit. As we were leaving the waiting line for seats was out the door.
Usually Dawn had to help D with the game controls.
Pops helped Emma who was fighting a departure from her routine nap-time.
You can perhaps see the fatigue in her expression. She rode that car over and over with no real indication that she was enjoying herself, but when you tried to get her off she would howl.
And there was a horse. What little girl doesn't love ponies?
Look at what nearly 200 tickets will get you: plastic...and a smile, of course.
Christmas decorations are already cluttering our house.
Desmond helped with the tree, but it looks like he did so under protest.
Who can blame him.
Decorating takes intense concentration...you can't even be bothered to look up and smile for a photo.
Desmond's preschool had a program for Thanksgiving. I don't know the details, but I hear there was singing. That's to be expected I guess.
I'm not sure what's going on here, but Diamond D seems to be doing all of the proper moves. And that's what all the parents are hoping for, right? Not to have the spaz...right?
Still good.
Really, D did very good. In fact, he was the one chosen to present and explain their calender to the parents/guests. It would seem that he's their go-to guy for the complicated stuff...mohawk and all. Well done D.
Can you believe that an angel like this could be the "biter" at daycare. Yep, Emma's the bad kid...not so much bad as rowdy. She gets in trouble for being a little too rough with her pals as well as having a biting incident once or twice a week that's severe enough to elicit a formal report. They started to transition her into the two-year-olds' room and found that she stopped biting kids (and teachers) altogether. Needless to say, for the safety of everyone, she's been spending most of here time there with the big kids.

Emma cracks me up!! She's so darn cute too!!
I love how focused Desmond is while playing the motorcycle?/snowmobiling? video game. He's obviously giving you a run for your money in this photo. Is that a birthmark on the inside of E's left arm in that photo? I never noticed it before.
It must be a bittersweet moment for a father to hear that his little girl is the rowdy biter in preschool.
Cute cute kids.

Oh yeah, Emma's cute alright...she's also certifiable. We have to keep a close eye on her. Turn you back for a minute and she'll jump off of something or attack the dog. "Girl bites dog", to be sure.
And Melissa, no it's not a birthmark on Emma's arm; its a tattoo.
