It's not so much that I'm lazy...just busy. Nonetheless, apologies. It's sometimes hard for me to keep up. Jen however...
...seems to have time to spare. At least for dress-up. I wonder who she really bought that stuff for.
There was Easter. D and E colored eggs with their mother.
They look proud...they should be.
The Easter Bunny brought candy and a picnic table. Coincidentally, we ate outside that evening for dinner.
There was, of course, an Easter egg hunt. D raked it in.
Emma opted for swinging over hunting. A wise move considering she still made off with plenty of eggs full of candy...all thanks to her brother hunting up his quota as well as hers.
Pops wore a tie.
Emma had surgery...the doctor gave her a new belly button. It all was...not fun, but we made it through. Emma took a week off of daycare and spent it at home convalescing with her Nana at home. The day of the surgery was tense, but brushing My Little Ponies' hair has a calming effect that surprised even Pops.
But eventually they take away the ponies and they cart you off to surgery. It was scary for Emma, but she displayed her characteristic capacity to rebound. It helps having breakfast in bed the morning after surgery.
The day after the she was on the pain meds pretty heavy, so it wasn't until a couple of days later that she really started to feel sore. It's all good now though.
Aunt Dawn got a new BBQ grill and had us over for a cook-out. It's been nice outside, and nice to be outside, so we spent the whole evening on the patio.
We played tag, kicked the balls around, played with the dogs and just had a crazy good time. A much better time even than the neighbors who were having a birthday party complete with an inflatable jumpy-thingy and a pony. I think that there may have been two ponies. Some people try too hard...we had more fun than they did.
It's been nice enough to start going to the motorcycle track again.
Desmond seems to tolerate the layers of gear he now has to wear.
Sometimes he wants to ride on the "bumpy" track, which is the scaled-down kids' motocross track. And sometimes he just wants to ride the flat track. On this particular trip he wanted to ride the flat track. He went around and around and around...for about an hour. I think he was having fun because there were a couple other little kids (one even with training wheels too) that were riding the flat track. At one point he got tangled up with another kid. He kinda turned in front of this kid who didn't quite have the skills to stop or turn, really, and the kit clipped his training wheel. The kid flipped over and was whining afterward, but I think that mostly he just got scared. Desmond, however was altogether un-phased. I think he was really kind of mad that the kid "hit" him.

Thanks for the comment...see you soon.
So, I noticed in the bedroom that Emma is in is at a Hilton Garden Inn--I stayed at two different ones this week and recognize the pillow and the alarm clock.
Yes, I guess I will see you soon. Is everyone coming or is it just Dawn and Jen? Also, I saw a pic of Jen and I LOVE her new haircut! SO cool!!
