We Try to Stay Busy

Last weekend it was very nice outside. So nice that D and Pops would have liked to go riding at the track, but Jennifer's allergies kept us at home. We took advantage of our time by washing our bikes so that they'd be ready to go next time we got a chance to ride.

While we were slaving away the girls went to the nail salon. Emma really loves going with her mother to get her nails painted. I wonder why...

...maybe because she gets pampered. Evidentially, at one point during the visit there were two technician (?) working on her. She loves it.

It's been much nicer here weather-wise lately. We've been going to "Dead Bunny Park" quite often lately. It is so called because on one of our visits, about a year ago maybe, Kevin chased and killed a bunny while we were there. It's really just the playground at an elementary school which is a couple blocks away from our house. It's fun.

Desmond has started preschool again. This time he's going three days a week for half a day. He really likes school, and does very well.

This is a picture of him on his first day back to school. And here's one of Emma on the same day...not to be outdone.

How about some rapid-fire photos...

Desmond practicing soccer. He's good. He scored two goals at his match this weekend.

After I clean the pond filters I usually let the kiddos play with the power washer. Emma shown here blasting the sky.

Desmond making it rain.

An outlaw biker gang as are about to depart on a ride to the park. No sidewalk is safe.

It was so nice one day that we pulled some tables around so that we could color and draw outside. On this particular day Desmond had one of his friends, Eli, over for a visit.

Emma has started dance class. She's shown here on the day of her first lesson. Jennifer takes her, and I guess she gets to dance too. Hopefully there will be a performance so we all can go watch.

Sometimes Pops has the kids by himself while Jennifer travels. On those days D and E have to pull some of the weight. Here shown helping cook dinner.

This weekend we went to the track and Jennifer finally got to ride Pop's bike. The starting with the clutch was a little tricky, but once she got going she did well...no wrecks. I think she's now excited to start getting her own gear so that we can "share a bike". We'll see about that.

And last night we went to the drive-in movie theater again. It was a perfect night for hanging out in the bed of a pickup truck. It's late in the season now too, so its cheap as well. We opted out of the second and third movies as that makes for a long night, and the following day almost unbearable.
