In looking through the photos that we have taken lately it seems like there is no significant event to report on, nor is there any underlying theme to draw from to make a blog entry. Most of that what I found stored on our camera was really just random summer-ness. There are pictures of playing outside with Kevin:
Checking out the world upside down:
A couple of weekends ago we went to an event at one of the local parks that was intended for little kids. Desmond "participated" in this story presentation (you may need to click on the picture to be able to appreciate D's expression as well as his farmer's tan):
The kiddos got to make their own hats. Emma's shown here with hers:
And there was watermelon aplenty.
Well maybe not so "aplenty" that you didn't have to defend what was yours on occasion.
We went to a train museum.
Emma got a new folding chair and couldn't wait to get some seat time:
And Desmond gets probably too much seat time...
That photo is not staged. He often insists that he be allowed to take in a motocross magazine as he does his business. I know... grody to the max, right? But it seemed too funny to resist passing it on.
Stay tuned for an account of our camping trip this weekend.

So funny! Emma is changing so much from pic to pic--adorable!! Desmond's bathroom pic is hilarious! Nice hats, too!! Looks like fun! No real summer here yet--been rainy and chilly the last few weeks. Send some sun East please!
Love you guys! Auntie Joyce
